How things happen.
We're creating a Co-op on the campus of Western Washington University. All students, faculty, and staff are all equal members. Everything about the Co-op is communal. The creation is an example. We are creating this Co-op open-source. All of our work is on-line (and backed up consistently) for every member to come and contribute.
The Co-op is the product. It is based on projects. Projects can be anything from creating business metrics to playing benefit shows. All members are encouraged to work on an existing project or to create one that stands out to them. Projects must be approved by the Co-op board or membership. Projects that reflect a time commitment, progressive values, and/or quality are most likely to be approved.
Anyone is free to contribute.
